UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

About US

Our beliefs are based on the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ. Our mission is very simple: to love every person with the love of God and offer an open invitation to our family.

That means we’re not about a building or some complicated religious system, but about helping people from all backgrounds discover the joy that comes from knowing and serving Jesus Christ.

We know that going to a new church can be intimidating, so we will try our best to make you feel welcome. No one should feel like an outsider at church. You are invited to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable with when you are here. We pray that you will discover a warm atmosphere, practical teaching from God's Word and lots of friendly people pursuing God together.

God made a promise in the Bible that if we seek after Him, we’ll find Him. You are a valued part of God’s creation and His deep desire is to be in a relationship with you. So come and join us as we pursue God together!

Faith, Family & Leadership

We invite you to come check us out this weekend at our worship service. We value people of all ages, races, physical abilities, social status, and family configurations. Church should be a place for all people, and we invite you to experience Bath United Methodist Church.

Pastor Karen Pruette

The name of the other church that I pastor is now Mackeys UMC in Roper.

Karen is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University with a BA in Religious
Education, a graduate of Campbell University Divinity School with a
Master of Divinity, and has completed the UMC Course of Study through Duke Divinity School.

Karen has two grown children - Brad Pruette and Jessica Hepfner, and two grandchildren - Chloe and Ryan, who bring her great delight.

In addition to preaching and teaching, Karen loves reading, music, and driving in her convertible with the top down.
